Skyron 400 is a high-speed, cost-efficient interceptor UAV purpose-built to counter long-range loitering munitions like Shahed-136 drones. 

Designed to operate in the capability gap between legacy air-defense systems such as IRIS-T SLM, NASAMS, and Patriot and low-tier counter-drone solutions, it delivers a scalable response to mass UAV threats. With speeds up to 380 km/h and interception altitudes up to 5,000m, Skyron 400 is optimized for the flight profiles modern loitering munitions. 

Integrated into MOSAIC UXS, Skyron 400 operates within a unified multi-domain command-and-control platform (C2). By connecting sensors, effectors, and autonomous systems across air, land, and maritime domains, MOSAIC UXS automates the complete detect-to-intercept kill chain with minimal operator involvement. Combined with electronic warfare resilience and a low cost per engagement, Skyron 400 relieves high-value air-defense assets and delivers a sustainable defense against mass UAV threats.

Restoring Economic Balance to Air Defense 

Loitering munitions such as the Shahed-136 have exposed a fundamental challenge for modern air defense. Costing little more than a small car, they are deployed in mass waves to saturate conventional air-defense systems. Intercepting them with missile-based systems, often costing hundreds of thousands of euros per shot, creates a cost imbalance that favors the attacker. 

Skyron 400 restores the balance. Built to intercept loitering munitions and medium-altitude ISR drones, it delivers fast and precise engagements at a fraction of the cost, preserving high-value air-defense assets for the threats they were designed to defeat. 

Built for the Full Threat Spectrum

Skyron 400 can operate in two configurations to cover the full spectrum of drone threats. The booster-equipped variant rapidly launches the interceptor to altitudes up to 1,000 m, enabling engagement of high-altitude targets or sustained loitering posture. The non-booster configuration addresses low-altitude threats with vertical launch capability. 

Target detection and cueing is handled through external radar sensors integrated into the MOSAIC command-and-control workflow. The standard configuration includes a fully validated Echodyne Shield radar. At the same time, the architecture is radar-agnostic, allowing integration of customer-owned or third-party sensors and enabling reuse of existing infrastructure across different operational environments. 

All sensor data is fused within MOSAIC, generating target tracks and interceptor guidance across the full engagement cycle, from detection and situational awareness through interception execution and post-mission review. The platform supports both human-in-the-loop control and full autonomous operation within a single unified system. 

Key Capabilities of Skyron 400

Skyron 400 operates autonomously while keeping the operator in command. 

The operator initiates the launch and authorizes the final intercept in MOSAIC UXS, while the interceptor autonomously navigates and closes on the assigned target. This delivers highautonomy operation with human control at all critical decision points.

Drone threats are detected via lightweight radar sensors at a range uto 10 km or through integration with higher-range radar systems. Skyron 400 automatically vectored to the predicted intercept position. The system automatically classifies the detected UAV type to support precise engagement decisions.

During final approach, Skyron 400 executes a precise autonomous kinetic intercept against the designated target. The system supports an optional explosive payload, providing enhanced lethality against more resistant threat profiles.

Skyron 400 is designed to operate reliably in GNSS-denied and electronically contested environments. Onboard AI-assisted navigation maintains precise guidance and interception capability without GPS dependency, ensuring mission continuity under active jamming conditions.

Skyron 400 can return and land safely whenever an intercept is not required or the mission profile changes. With a total mission flight time of up to 20 minutes, the interceptor can be configured for followon missions as needed.

One Platform. Total Operational Control

MOSAIC UXS serves as the central command-and-control C2 platform for full-cycle Skyron 400 interceptor operations, connecting assets, sensors, and operators within a single unified system. 

The platform delivers a unified air picture by fusing data from integrated radar sensors and external systems such as Ukraine’s SkyMap, providing operators with continuous situational awareness across all active threats and assets. All telemetry, target tracks, and interceptor status are displayed in real time within a single interface. 

MOSAIC manages the complete engagement workflow, from target detection and asset assignment through interception execution, while preserving human authority over key decisions at every stage. The system supports both human-in-the-loop control and full autonomous operation, adapting to the demands of the operational environment. Its modular, scalable architecture enables seamless integration into existing sensor infrastructure and multi-layer defense configurations. 

Exemplary Mission Profile: Multi-Platform Interceptor Deployment

Skyron 400 demonstrates fullcycle autonomous interception across multiple domain scenarios, enabling flexible defense against incoming loitering munitions. In a stationary configuration, Skyron 400 is launched from a launcher box positioned near critical infrastructure to provide persistent area protection. Integrated radar sensors detect inbound Shahedclass threats at ranges up to 10 km and feed target data into the MOSAIC UXS platform, which autonomously initiates the intercept sequence. 

In a mobile scenario, Skyron 400 is integrated onto a Quantum Systems Mandrill UGV, allowing the interceptor to be deployed closer to the frontline without exposing personnel, extending coverage into highrisk areas. A third configuration enables integration onto a Quantum Systems USV, allowing Skyron 400 to operate from maritime platforms and enhance coastal and littoral air defense.  

Across all scenarios, Skyron 400 executes autonomous target approach and intercept, with operator oversight. If no intercept is required or the mission profile changes, the system recovers autonomously and returns for recharge and redeployment.
