Ground Autonomy. Built to Endure.
MANDRILL is part of Quantum Systems’ expanding Family of Ground Systems, designed to extend multi-domain autonomy into the Ground Domain. As a modular high-mobility unmanned ground vehicle, it is engineered for high-speed, heavy-duty missions in contested and GNSS-denied environments.
Designed for reconnaissance, logistics, force protection, and tactical support, MANDRILL integrates natively into MOSAIC UXS — enabling coordinated air–ground operations within a unified, software-defined ecosystem.
Built for Operational Reality.
Ground operations are defined by unpredictability, terrain complexity, and sustained exposure. Systems operating in this environment must combine mobility, resilience, and adaptability without compromising reliability.
MANDRILL is designed for environments where human presence is limited, risky, or operationally unsustainable. Its architecture prioritizes survivability, rapid deployment, and mission continuity — ensuring performance not just in controlled demonstrations, but in real-world operations.
Mission-first.
Performance & Mobility
High mobility is foundational to operational relevance. MANDRILL combines dual electric propulsion with ruggedized mechanical architecture to deliver tactical speed, payload capacity, and sustained endurance.
With a payload capacity of up to 750 kg, a maximum speed of 100 km/h, and an electric range of up to 200 km, it supports both high-tempo manoeuvre support and persistent field operations. Available in short and long configurations, and with optional wheel or track drive systems, MANDRILL adapts to terrain and mission profile without redesigning the core platform.
Modular by Design
MANDRILL is built around a modular architecture that enables rapid reconfiguration without replacing the base system. Rather than fielding multiple specialized vehicles, operators can adapt one platform to evolving operational requirements.
Mission configurations include remote ISR with automated drone launch and recovery, logistics and engineering support, rescue and MEDEVAC roles, electronic warfare payload integration, and towing or recovery operations.
One platform. Multiple missions. Continuous evolution.
Energy & Sustainment
Operational autonomy extends beyond mobility. MANDRILL integrates bi-directional charging, enabling forward power supply, drone charging, and equipment sustainment in the field.
This capability transforms the platform into a mobile energy node, supporting distributed operations and extending endurance across deployed assets.
Ground Autonomy Engineered for Complexity
Autonomous ground navigation presents fundamentally different challenges than aerial autonomy. Terrain variability, dynamic obstacles, and degraded infrastructure require advanced perception and decision-making capabilities.
MANDRILL integrates AI-based navigation and advanced mapping technologies that enable reliable operation in GNSS-denied environments and support fully autonomous driving day and night. Optional remote control and manned operation modes provide additional operational flexibility when required.
Multi-Domain Integration
Powered by MOSAIC UXS
MANDRILL is natively integrated into MOSAIC UXS, Quantum Systems’ software-defined ecosystem for unmanned systems.
Through MOSAIC UXS, air and ground assets share situational awareness, coordinate missions, and fuse data across domains. Mission planning, command integration, and interoperability with NATO-standard systems are built into the architecture from the outset.
True autonomy isn’t airborne or ground-based.
It’s coordinated.
Designed for Survivability
MANDRILL’s compact silhouette, electric propulsion, and ruggedized construction are designed for contested and degraded environments. With IP67/IP69 protection, gradient capability up to 100%, and NATO-compatible towing integration, it is engineered to endure sustained field deployment.
If it doesn’t survive the mission, it doesn’t belong in the portfolio.
