PRESS RELEASE

Quantum Systems joins Project Conexus Consortium to advance NATO Targeting Interoperability

As a founding consortium member, Quantum Systems contributes its expertise in autonomous systems and software-defined operations to Project Conexus, a concept demonstrator for a unified targeting operating environment for allied defence.

Brussels, 09 July 2026 – Quantum Systems has joined the founding consortium behind Project Conexus, a collaborative industry initiative unveiled at the Oracle Defence Summit in Brussels. Led by Whitespace, the project brings together leading defence and technology companies to demonstrate a unified, cloud-centric targeting operating environment designed to improve interoperability and accelerate military decision-making across allied forces.

Project Conexus aims to connect sensing, intelligence, decision-making, and operational effects within a single interoperable environment. Developed on open standards, the concept demonstrates how software, data and autonomous systems can be integrated to enable faster, more informed decisions across coalition operations.

As a founding consortium member, Quantum Systems contributes to its expertise in software-defined autonomous systems and multi-domain operations. Through MOSAIC UXS, the company’s open software ecosystem for unmanned operations, Quantum Systems enables the integration of air, land and maritime autonomous systems into interoperable operational environments, supporting faster deployment of capabilities across allied forces.

The founding consortium includes Whitespace, Oracle, Mattermost, Arqit, Quantum Systems, Janes, and Esri, combining expertise across sensing, geospatial intelligence, secure connectivity, collaboration, cloud infrastructure and autonomous systems. Together, the partners are demonstrating how open architectures, and industry collaboration can strengthen alliance interoperability and accelerate capability of delivery.

Project Conexus was presented for the first time at the Oracle Defence Summit in Brussels, where it was introduced to defence ministries, NATO stakeholders and allied partners as a reference implementation for future coalition operations. The consortium remains open to additional partners as the initiative evolves.
