Quantum Systems Acquires Hacker Motor to Strengthen Sovereign European Supply Chain

Quantum Systems has acquired Hacker Motor GmbH, a German manufacturer of high-performance electric motors, as part of its strategy to enhance vertical integration and strengthen sovereign supply chain for unmanned systems in Europe.

Gilching, 04 February 2026: Quantum Systems, Europe’s powerhouse for unmanned systems, today announces the full acquisition of Hacker Motor GmbH, German specialist in high-quality and powerful electric motors and propulsion systems. Hacker Motor’s technology has long been integrated into Quantum Systems platforms as an enabler of vertical take-off and landing capabilities.

Furthermore, it plays a central role in copter-style flying and is therefore essential for Quantum Frontline Industries, the recently established joint venture between Quantum Systems and Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline Robotics.

Quantum Systems has acquired 100% of Hacker Motor GmbH, with all employees and existing sites retained. The acquisition is part of Quantum Systems’ broader strategy to bring critical capabilities in-house, strengthen vertical integration, and build a more resilient and sovereign European supply chain for the production of unmanned systems in Europe.
