Statement on the Security Incident at a Subcontractor of Quantum Systems
On July 16, 2025, we were alerted to a potential security incident by an external source. An immediate internal investigation revealed that a user account belonging to a subcontractor of Quantum-Systems GmbH had been compromised.
The affected account did not contain any critical information or security vulnerabilities. At no time was there a technical connection to the IT infrastructure of Quantum Systems. The systems of Quantum Systems were not affected, and no data from our company was leaked.
Thanks to the immediate and coordinated action of our IT and security teams, the incident at our subcontractor was quickly and comprehensively contained. For reasons of transparency and in accordance with our data protection obligations, we have reported the incident to the relevant data protection authority and are in close contact with other relevant institutions, including the Central Cybercrime Contact Point (ZAC) and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (LKA Bayern).
We take this incident seriously and are doing everything in our power to ensure the highest standards of data protection and information security. This incident does not change anything for our customers, partners, and investors—the secure operation of our platforms and systems is always guaranteed.

Stellungnahme zum Sicherheitsvorfall bei einem Subunternehmen von Quantum Systems
Am 16. Juli 2025 wurden wir von einer externen Quelle auf einen potenziellen Sicherheitsvorfall aufmerksam gemacht. Eine sofort eingeleitete interne Prüfung ergab, dass ein Benutzerkonto eines Subunternehmens der Quantum-Systems GmbH kompromittiert wurde.
Der betroffene Account enthielt keinerlei kritische Informationen oder sicherheitsrelevante Schwachstellen. Es bestand zu keinem Zeitpunkt eine technische Verbindung zur IT-Infrastruktur von Quantum Systems. Die Systeme von Quantum Systems waren nicht betroffen, und es wurden keine Daten aus unserem Unternehmen geleakt.
Durch das umgehende und koordinierte Handeln unserer IT- und Sicherheitsabteilung konnte der Vorfall bei unserem Subunternehmer schnell und umfassend eingedämmt werden. Aus Gründen der Transparenz und in Übereinstimmung mit unseren datenschutzrechtlichen Pflichten haben wir das Ereignis der zuständigen Datenschutzbehörde gemeldet und stehen in engem Austausch mit weiteren relevanten Institutionen, darunter die Zentrale Ansprechstelle Cybercrime (ZAC) und das LKA Bayern.
Wir nehmen diesen Vorfall ernst und setzen alles daran, höchste Standards bei Datenschutz und Informationssicherheit sicherzustellen. Für unsere Kunden, Partner und Investoren ändert sich durch diesen Vorfall nichts – der sichere Betrieb unserer Plattformen und Systeme ist jederzeit gewährleistet.
